my cat unwinds and the birds annoy her shouting in the trees across the road if only she could jump and pluck each one from the branch I lob a ball of paper for her to chase she looks then at me like I’m the bottom of a shoe I say, so what you’re a cat I’m a man what’s the big difference? we are looking at those birds over there you have a tail I have a history both of them follow us around wherever we go
